Cordial invitation to art & conversations in the studios

The artists of the Künstlerhaus Dortmund, the largest exhibition and studio house in Dortmund, open their studios once a year and invite you to take a look at the rooms of their art production. Look forward to insights into well-known studios and to our new colleague Debora Ando, who has had a studio in the Künstlerhaus since this summer.
We wish you interesting conversations about painting, photography, sculpture, installation, sound art, film, drawing and more.
Our Künstlerhaustheke offers coffee, cake and cold drinks as a refreshment.

Artists

Debora Ando, Anett Frontzek, Cornelius Grau, Willi Otremba, Gaby Peters, Dirk Pleyer, Denise Ritter, Alexander Rütten, Maria Schleiner, Jana Kerima Stolzer, Jens Sundheim, Elly Valk-Verheijen, Adriane Wachholz.

On Sunday afternoon you have the opportunity to get to know our artist in residence artist Karl Ahlqvist personally. The Swedish writer has been a guest at the Künstlerhaus Dortmund as a scholarship holder of the Landschaftsverband Westfalen Lippe since the beginning of September.

Guided tours through the studios

Those who would like to explore the studios as part of a guided tour are cordially invited to meet on Sunday at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the foyer.
The small guided tours of a maximum of 45 minutes start in the foyer and offer the opportunity to talk not only to the artists but also to each other. In addition, they will familiarize themselves with the labyrinth of space in the Künstlerhaus for their own explorations.

Since 1983, the Künstlerhaus has been run by its own administration, and the exhibition programme comprises six international group exhibitions per year. Our current exhibition room with a view can be seen throughout the opening hours of the open studios.

The Open Studios take place as part of the Offene Nordstadtateliers 2019 .
