The exhibition “gute aussichten - junge deutsche fotografie // new german photography 2020/2021“ presents the eight laureates of the renowned Young Talent Award for alumnae in photography. Eight prize winners and seven artworks have been nominated by the well established jury in 2020/2021. The competition which takes place for the 17th time invites every student of photography to participate with their officially filed final projects.
This year’s jury consists of: the iniator of gute aussichten Josefine Raab, the arthistorian and culture-journalist Dr. Wibke von Bonin (Cologne), Nadja Bournonville, artist, photographer and gute aussichten winner 2013/2014 (Berlin), Amélie Schneider, chief picture editor DIE ZEIT (Hamburg), Frauke Schnoor, picture director of the magazine ZEIT Campus (Hamburg), Katrin Seidel, trustee, National Collection on the History of Photography, state museum Koblenz, Stefan Becht, journalist und initiator of gute aussichten und Ingo Taubhorn, curator at House of Photography, Deichtorhallen Hamburg. This year, the artistic photographic position will be occupied by the "master of staging", the renowned photographer and internationally active artist Bernhard Prinz.
The first venue of the exhibition will be the Künstlerhaus Dortmund, followed by Deichtorhallen in Hamburg and the state museum in Koblenz.
